3/6/2008 SCAD hosts Rising Star, a challenging five-week program that awards college credit to rising high school seniors SAVANNAH, Ga — The Savannah College of Art and Design will host Rising Star, a challenging five-week program that awards college credit to rising high school seniors, June 21-July 26, at SCAD-Savannah, 342 Bull St.
Students enroll in two college-level classes and have the opportunity to build or enhance their visual arts portfolios. They reside in college housing and have access to college facilities and resources. Outside class, students complete assignments, take field trips, socialize and enjoy area parks and other attractions.
Students who successfully complete the Rising Star program earn college credit, which may be applied toward a baccalaureate degree at SCAD or at other colleges or universities. (Course credits are applied to degree requirements at the discretion of the accepting institution.)
