Broadcast design and motion graphics is a mix of graphic design in motion and experimental animation. Professionals create main titles for television and film, commercials and network design, as well as design and animation for new formats such as cell phones and iPods.


The SCAD-eLearning M.A. program combines taught and self-directed studies, critical approaches to spatial and material culture, project management, design methodology, research, communication and design theory.

Inspire Symposium
Inspire is a one-day symposium about motion graphics and media art.

Technical Requirements

Students are expected to use file transfer and compression utilities, and are encouraged to have a CD-R/DVD-R drive. In addition to general technical requirements for SCAD e-Learning, students enrolled in online broadcast design and motion graphics programs must purchase or have regular access to the following applications and/or peripherals:
