  • SCAD-Savannah, SCAD-Atlanta and SCAD-eLearning
  • School of Liberal Arts
As communities everywhere come to realize the irreplaceable nature and the cultural and financial value of their architectural structures, historic preservationists work to retrieve and recycle the built environment.

Students in professions as diverse as education, law and city planning may benefit from coursework in historic preservation. Educators may expand their knowledge base, re-certify or advance their careers with additional graduate work. Attorneys, architects and real estate professionals whose practices deal with design reviews and preservation planning issues can increase their understanding of the policies and processes of historic preservation.

The SCAD-eLearning graduate certificate in historic preservation program is designed for individuals working in historic preservation or related fields and those with an interest in historic preservation who would like to expand their knowledge or prepare to enter or enhance their careers. The SCAD-eLearning M.A. program includes courses in building assessment and preservation planning, and requires a final project.
