For a variety of outlets, from book publishing to advertising and from product packaging to the Internet, illustrators use their skills to capture viewers’ interest, translating concepts into tangible images.

SCAD-eLearning students create a substantial body of work, producing comprehensive portfolios in preparation for a career in freelance illustration. They are introduced to the practical side of the illustration business, from portfolio presentation to marketing and invoicing. Coursework parallels professional practice and sometimes involves actual clients.
